The Real Deal

Two years ago, I was charting vitals and administering meds. Today, I’m pricing brush cutters and printing freight labels in a metal building near the lake. It wasn’t the plan—but it’s our life now.

Some people dream of quitting their job and starting over. I didn’t. I left nursing and health care overall because something broke in me. The stress, the system, the schedule—it was no longer worth the cost.

So…we took a leap. We turned a part-time business into an e-commerce with storefront. We’re now slinging trailers and tractor parts—and learning everything as we go. I’ve cried in the storage yard. I’ve sold a rototiller in Coach sneakers and mud.

This blog is a scrapbook of reinvention. If you’re rebuilding anything—from your job to your self-worth—you’re in the right place.

Welcome to the Lake!
